This series includes:
- Envelope containing a personal telegram from Daniel McFarlane to his mother 03/10/1915,
- Envelope containing a personal telegram from Daniel McFarlane to his mother 17/05/1919,
- Official Army Form notifying Daniel McFarlane family he has been wounded 31/01/1916,
- Official form from the Infantry Record Office notifying Daniel McFarlane's family he has been transferred 27/09/1916
- Envelope entitled 'Active Service' containing two press cuttings. One listing Daniel McFarlane as wounded c 1916 and the other listing him as graduating 1924.
Administrative / Biographical History
This is a collection of a mixture of official army forms and personal telegrams which Daniel McFarlane sent his mother during the war. Also included are some press cuttings, one documenting Daniel McFarlane being wounded and the other recording his passing his exams at Glasgow University.
