• Scope and Content

  The front of the postcard has pre-printed details about the postcard on it, as well as the handwritten details of Daniel's mother. The front also has a logo for the 'Scottish National Council of Y.M.C.A' which has an image of a soldier against a mountainous background. There is a stamp from the Army Post Office located in the top right hand corner of the postcard and is dated the 26th May 1916. On the handwritten message at the reverse of the postcard, Daniel thanks his mother for the parcel and states he is in the trenches.
