• Scope and Content

  This is a postcard from Daniel's mother to him. The front of the postcard is decorated with a landscape scene. The inscription at the bottom of the photograph states this is West Kilbride, Portencross and Aaran Hills from Law Hill, West Kilbride. On the reverse of the postcard at the top right hand corner there is a stamp from Western bridge Ayrshire which is dated 28th April 1917. The message is dated 18th April 1917 and in the message Daniel's mother writes how she is on holiday with Aunty Annie for a week and how Jim Mackie has been wounded.
