• Scope and Content

  Erected by James GUFFIE in memory of his daughter Mary who died 12th Nov. 1837 aged 8 years. Also his granddaughter Agnes SLOANE who died 1st August 1866 aged 2 years and 7 months. His wife Agnes MCGILL who died 21st June 1867 aged 66 years. Also his daughter Maryann wife of David BARBOUR who died in Bendigo, Australia 26th Nov. 1871 aged 26 years. Also his son Anthony who accidently lost his life at Mount Ida Goldfields, Otago, New Zealand 26th October 1875 aged 31 years. Also his daughter Margaret who died Near Eddington, Victoria, Australia 15th April, 1882 aged 46 years. The above James GUFFIE died in Carsphairn Village 18th January 1887 in the 86th year of his age.
