  Robertson Research Company Ltd was registered in 1961 in order to provide mineral assessment services for the quarrying interests of William Robertson Shipowners in North Wales. From this base, it rapidly developed its services both in the UK and overseas.
  In 1975, Robertson Research Holdings Ltd was formed as the controlling organisation of the group of companies, one of which was Robertson Research Company, known as the Robertson Research Group. Robertson Research Company became an associated member of the Robertson Research Group, guaranteed by Robertson Research International. Henceforth, it was responsible for providing supporting services to the Group's member companies.
