Scope and Content
The machine was developed by Francis Boyce Lecky and William Hugh Smyth, assigned to The Espadrille Alpargata Company Ltd., Buenos Aires, and then to Douglas Fraser and others. 1882-1884. [Also includes a copy of La Republica, 7 October 1882, which carries an advertisement for the new machine. [See also MS 42/10 (45)]].
