Also includes correspondence between Dr Elizabeth A Ferris and Professor Arnold H Beckett (passed on to Ferguson-Smith) about her concerns over the use of the "femininity test" and the liklihood of errors in the results, and a detailed letter from Dr Eduoardo Hay, physician in Mexico with specialist knowlegdge of gender testing, on the use of the feminity test in Olympic games and the provedures involved.

Dr Elizabeth A Ferris was also critical of the buccal smear test. She was the Medical Officer of the Modern Pentathlon Association of Great Britain.
