Administrative / Biographical History
Sir Archibald Geikie corresponded with a number of people both socially and professionally. William Johnson Sollas (1849-1936) investigated the geology of Tuvalu. The Austrian geologist, Eduard Seuss (1831-1914), was a long time friend to Geikie. William Kirby Sullivan (1821-1890) contributed pieces on chemistry to Geikie's Text-Book of Geology, ( 1882) .
