Administrative / Biographical History
Most of the material in these files was collected by A. M. Peill, Ben Line publicity manager, and much of the correspondence sent with photographs is addresssed to him. Additionaly, much of the material has A. M. P. written on it. Publicity files are mainly made up of photographs but also material produced to arrange and promote the launching and maiden voyages of ships as well as the vessels themselves. In some instances material relating to different generations of ships sharing the same name has been gathered in a single file by its creator.
