• Scope and Content

  Original file had "Pension Awards" written on the cover, and was split with cardboard dividers into four sections titled: "Samvern", "Fort Babine", "Benalbanach" and "Benlomond". The pension award notices were sent from The Ministry of Pensions and are addressed to Wm Thomson & Co and also to The Ben Line Steamers Ltd. The notices detail the name of the crew member or the dependent who has applied for a pension, and details of the award made, or notification that the application has been unsuccessful.
