Plans and drawings connected with archaeological digs in Rousay. Walter Gordon Grant FSA (Scot) - b. 1886 Elgin. d. 1947 Orkney; distiller; company director; amatuer archaeologist; son of James Grant, Highland Park, Kirkwall; married Florence Davidson, Kirkwall Owner of most of Rousay, living at Trumland House in summer, Hillhead, St Ola in winter, he became a keen amateur archaeologist financing excavation and preservation of a number of ancient monuments in Rousay in close association with Gordon Childe, notably the Midhowe broch and Salled Cairn.
