  General handbook for University of Strathclyde students. Includes list of schools of study and courses, course requirements, university regulations and information on accommodation, student services, student associations, fees, allowances and method of application.

  The academic registrar was responsible for academic development planning, staff establishment and all student administration including admissions, registration, examinations, student records and statistics.
  
  The post was discontinued in 1973 due to the growth of the University and the appointment of the then post holder to the post of registrar. The duties of the academic registrar became the responsibility of the registrar.
