  A talk given by M. F. Baughan, Assistant Rector, St. Saviours High School, Dundee, to National In-service Course No. 4 at Dundee College of Education, 31 March 1981. Baughan had spent almost 2 months in the USA on a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship and his input drew heavily on this experience of the Careers work he had observed there
