Scope and Content
Original painting by Robert A. Thom (1915-1979). Under the code of Hammurabi, physicians' fees were set, and patients and physicians might appeal their grievances to the King's court (as told by the ancient clay tablets of Mesopotamia). One of a Series: A History of Medicine in Pictures presented by Parke, Davis & Co. (now Pfizer Inc.)
