• Scope and Content

  Colour slides of photographs by George Allan, predominantly of historic buildings, sites and landscapes around Scotland, in particular Lanarkshire. Some photographs relate to themes found in other series, such as historic sites associated with the Scottish covenanters. A small number of images include people. In addition, the series includes some photographs of London, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and France. The item numbers given to individual slides are indicated in each description, where applicable. Where known, the dates of individual photographs is given in brackets.
