  George Turner Paton was born 27 Feb 1886 the son of David Paton and Betsy Stewart. He joined the Navy in 1902. He married Mary Crowlie 27 June 1913. He was killed when the HMS Mary Rose on which he was serving was sunk 17 Oct 1917
