Three bound theses on subjects related to Malawi, South Africa and Southern Rhodesia, and one handbook to learn Hausa (a Chadic language spoken mostly in southern Niger and northern Nigeria).

Acquisition Information
These typescripts were part of a large quantity of unprocessed books from the University of Edinburgh Library, were a mixture of donations, of remains of very large bequests, and of transfers from other parts of the Library. The manual entitled 'Teach yourself Hausa' was originally donated to the general Linguistics Library by the author in June 1966, and was after this internally transferred from the Class Library.
