Letters sent by Sir Arthur Stanley to the Chairmen of hospitals proposing the establishment of a College of Nursing and subsequent letters concerning the formation of a consultative board and a Scottish Board.

Copy of letter from A Stanley dated 1 Apr 1916 to the Chairman of Hospitals proposing a conference to discuss formation of a consultative board of the College of Nursing;
Full agenda of meeting of the Council of the College of Nursing Apr 17 1916;
Letter from A Stanley dated 18 Apr 1916 concerning nominations of representatives upon consultative board, use of 'Ltd' in the name of the College, self governance of the College, a conference between those averse to state interference and those in favour of registration of nurses by act of parliament, uniformity of curriculum, solidarity of nursing profession, establishment of local boards and inclusion of lay staff in hospitals;

Draft Constitution for local board for Scotland approved of by meeting of representatives for nursing interests in Scotland;
Draft regulations suggested by the Scottish representatives to the Council of the College in respect of agenda papers of meetings and draft minutes of meetings.
