Administrative / Biographical History
In 1919 Ross was asked by K. and J. Cooper, an Indian publishing house, to write a small book on hygiene which would be suitable for use in Indian schools. The completed typescript was sent to Bombay in 1920 whereupon J. Cooper wrote to Ross stating that he felt the text was too advanced and too detailed for the type of student they had in mind. Correspondence between Ross and J. Cooper contiued from 1920 throughout 1921 after which no correspondence exists in the Ross Collection until 1923 when K. and J. Cooper write to say that they are sending Ross 6 copies of the book.
