A drama written when I was serving as surgeon on board the Anchor Line Steamer Alsatia running between London and New York in 1880. Cont. in MS. Book G. 6.10/07. R. Ross'. 'Also Ajax at other end'. '23rd and 24th June 1917. Read Isabella for the first time, so far as I can remember, since it was written in 1880. Quite juvenile. I had intended to convert the climax into a "happy ending" & wrote a passage for this at the reverse end of Notebook G. For synopsis of scenes see Note-book H. R. Ross'. Inserted into the note-book is Ross, Sir Ronald. Some additional M.S. of Isabella. 23.6.17. 2 pages, 25cm, manuscript.
