  Notebook has enclosure of envelope labelled " models of slide valves". This contains 5 printed cards, "Working models for engineers" by T Jones, M I M E, The Central Board School, Manchester. The cards have moving parts to demonstrate how the slide valves move. i) Short D Slide Valve; ii) Single Acting Piston Valve for steam hammer cylinder; Long D slide valve worked by one eccentric; iv) Single Acting Piston Valve for steam hammer cylinder; v) Double Acting Short D slide valve.
