Copies of Thomas Campbell's correspondence and of letters relating to him by Gordon L.C. Hill. c.1914 [See also MS 25/4/1]. "Originals are with Edith Campbell, March 1914". Copies of 42, mainly family letters to and from Thomas Campbell, 1796-1841. Correspondents are: Alexander Campbell (his brother); Archibald Campbell (his nephew); Margaret Campbell (his mother); Mary Campbell (his sister); Robert Campbell (his nephew); Mrs Sommerville (his sister-in-law). Also includes copies of letters from Thomas Jefferson and from Lady Blessington to Dr Beattie and a fragment of Thomas Campbell's notes on the life of Sir Thomas Lawrence, n.d. Copies [153], letters, mainly family, to, from and relating to Thomas Campbell, 1797-1853. Correspondence is particularly with or concerning his nephew Alexander Campbell.
