Robert Archbishop of Glasgow presents and collates Master Cuthbert Simson, priest, to the perpetual chantry of St Nicholas the Confessor, within the hospital of Saint Nicolas in the city of Glasgow, under condition that he shall make his personal daily residence within the Pedagogy of Glasgow, for the instruction of youth in grammar, and daily reading the same.

The document was written on parchment by the notary Archibald Layng and it is bearing his authentification mark. It is written in an angular cursive with pre-secretary hand features. The first letter is ornamented, and the first word are written in bookhand.
