Scope and Content
Signet applied en placard. It represents a shield bearing the royal arms of Scotland, ensigned of a closed crown ornamented with five fleur-de-lys. Paper fender.
The document is written on paper in a secretary hand, without any ornamentation. It bears the signature of Mary Queen of Scots.
