Scope and Content
'Alba' (initially subtitled 'National and International Contemporary Art from Scotland' and then latterly 'Scotland's Visual Arts Magazine') was a quarterly magazine which ran for six years. Edited by Peter Hill and later Hilary Robinson, it featured works by Scottish artists and writing by, amongst others, Bill Hare, Duncan MacMillan, Alexander Moffat, Ralph Hughes.
This collection comprises 13 issues of the periodical (1986 - 1991) and one folder of correspondence / documentation relating to the publication of the magazine.
