  Copy of information about David Elder Wood, born in Orkney in 1835, who emigrated to Melbourne, Australia, in the 1860s. He opened a photographic studio in 1869 and, in late 1888, was commissioned by the South Melbourne Council to photograph their city, resulting in a collection of 40 albumen photographs.
