Scope and Content
Handwritten articles copied from the Orcadian and personal letters into two jotters by an unknown writer . Books 2 & 3 only. Contains: All of jotter 2 and p1-17 of jotter 3: "Behind the Barbed Wire in Germany" Experiences of J S Leask, Coldomo, Stenness, as a Prisoner of War (1914-1918). He was captured in September 1915 Book 3, p17-20: Southern Rhodesia - Miami - "part of a letter I received from Mr W Leask, 16 th Feb 1935, in which he describes an encounter with lions on his farm" + photograph of Mr Leask with lions on a truck. Book 3, p21 - 37 "White Dawn" by R A Leitch - "This appeared in The Book of the Balfour Hospital Bazaar based on the First World War 1914-1918.
