Scope and Content
1. Photographic postcard of unknown house; Postcard of Twin Screw R.M.S. "Megantic" of the White Star Line; Photo of "a group who emigrated to Canada in the 1920s" which includes John Smith 2. Five booklets entitled: "The Irvines in Victoria, B.C." produced by the Irvine Family Genealogical Group of Victoria, British Columbia from 1991 to 1994. They are all descendants of Irvines of Eday who emigrated in 1851. We have Volume 1 No 3, Vol 2 No 2, Vol 3 No 3, Vol 4 No 1 and Vol 4 No 3. Also a booklet entitled, "Orkney Stones 1882" to promote the book of the same name, published by The Orkney Historical Society, Saskatchewan, Canada. John Flaws Reid of Windywalls, Eday was the first settler there in 1882, joined later by much of his family and others from Eday and St Ola. 3. Letter from Mrs Irene Warren of Glasgow and small box of photographic postcards of salvage operations in Scapa Flow numbered as follows: No 1: 'Hindenburg' No 3: 'Bayern' No 4: 'Derfflinger' No 6: German destroyers off Fara No 7: 'Seydlitz' No 8: unnamed Destroyer No 9: unnamed Destroyer No 13: 'Baden' Also photograph of HMS Natal sunk by explosion 30/12/1915 in Cromarty Firth 4.
