  Three albums of photographs by Clifford (Cliff) Steer while serving as wireless operator on board ASW Trawler HMS Northern Dawn during the Second World War (1939-1945), stationed for a time in Scapa Flow and used for convoy escort. Subjects include: Newfoundland; New York; Smokie Mountain National Park; Activities in 1941 and 1942. Does not contain any photographs of his time in Scapa Flow.
