Administrative / Biographical History
May Irvine was the daughter of George Irvine and his second wife. George Irvine was born in Garson, North Dyke, Sandwick, in 1841, the son of John Irvine and Catherine Brass. He married Margaret Groat from Westray in 1863 and they emigrated to Australia in 1864. He later married again.Copied from originals loaned by Tom Gibson, Rousay, 1996
