• Administrative / Biographical History

  The house was owned by B. Swanson from at least 1890 to 1903. A Mr. Meil, who was in his seventies, occupied it in 1953. There was a scheme in 1947 to convert Geramount House into a community centre, but the plans were never implemented and the house was derelict by 1995.The plans were possibly carried out at the request of the County Council.
