• Scope and Content

  Collection of photographs and postcards of Orkney, some taken by Tom Kent. Includes pictures of the Ba', Italian Chapel, Kirkwall harbour, St Magnus Cathedral, Longhope, second Churchill barrier, and Earl's Palace. Deposited by Isobel Margaret Chiswell, Ontario, whose father is thought to have collected the pictures when on a trip to Orkney in 1920. It is also possible that some also date from 1928 when her grandmother visited Orkney.
