Administrative / Biographical History
When the First World War broke out in August 1914, the construction of this school was delayed. It wasn’t completed until 1916 when it became the last school to be built by the Glasgow School Board. The Board was dissolved and replaced by the Glasgow Education Authority in 1919. The school building included a central hall designed for drills, exercising and communal meetings. Closed 1970, transferred to John Street Secondary.
