Scope and Content
These slides have captions in a number of different formats so may not have been made at the same time. They are of: Set 1 - GPHL [Glasgow Public Health Laboratory] Wart fungus in potato (x1000); GPHL blight fungus on leaf (low power); blight (x350); synchytrium endobioticum resting spores; rhizoctonia. Set 2 - wart disease synchytrium endobioticum; wart disease synchytrium endobioticum rhizome with warts arising from buds; mass round root; common or rusty scab sophora scabies. Set 3 - phytophthora infestans on leaf; and other uncaptioned images of leaves and roots. Set 4 illustrations and photographs from book - macrosporium solani - germinating spores with hyphae entering stomata; section of potato leaf; control of late blight of potatoes with Bordeaux mixture; diagram of potato plant below ground; early blight of the potato. Set 5 - Glasgow Public Health Laboratory - common or rusty scab iospora [isospora?] scabies; corky scab. Set 6 - uncaptioned images probably of potato blight. Twelve single slides - wart disease of potato - resting spores containing zoospores; fungus of corky scab; and ten uncaptioned including examples of potatoes and tomatoes.
