Scope and Content
Meteorological Observations taken at Glasgow Observatory (D-HE4/9/1-2); Meteorological Observations No 2 - Newspaper cuttings (D-HE4/9/3; Daily Weather Reports (from Glasgow Herald) (D-HE4/9/4).
The Public Health Department kept meteorological records because of the effect of the weather on the health of the people. The annual report included a section on meteorology, and weather conditions were frequently mentioned in the smoke abatement records at D-HE4/4.
Apart from the first two volumes, which are related, this is an artificial series. There is also meteorological information at D-HE1/6-7 and D-HE1/9/6/101.
