Administrative / Biographical History
This school was known as Eastwood Pollok Academy until January 1909, when staff and pupils were transferred to the new Sir John Maxwell School in Bengal Street. It later became, in succession, a junior secondary school, a secondary school, and finally a primary school.
The school became the location for the city's first Gaelic Medium Education Unit in 1984.
