First bundle: The Rheumatic Problem - a Plea for a National Campaign Against the Rheumatic Diseases by L S P Davidson, 1939; Rheumatism - a Plan for National Action by Lord Horder with a covering letter from the Empire Rheumatism Council, 1941; agenda for Society of Medical Officers of Health meeting, April 1941 with associated papers on Provision of Hospital Accommodation by County Councils and Local Authorities, memorandum on the advisability of associating immunisation against diphtheria with investigations into the epidemiology of the disease in Scotland and basement shelters in hospitals. Second bundle: agenda for meeting of the Scottish branch of the Society of Medical Officers of Health with drafts of the memorandum on the National Health Service white paper, May 1944.
