Scope and Content
D-TC3/1-19 consists of the contents of deed boxes from the basement of the Town Clerk's Department containing documents dating mainly from the 17th and 18th centuries - Titles Glasgow; Titles Outwith Glasgow; Tacks and related papers; Papers relating to Teinds; Burgh Court Papers; Dean of Guild Court Papers; Memorials, Cases and Opinions; Accounts Rendered in the Exchequer; Vouchers of Treasurers and Other Officials, and Related Papers; Burgess Tickets; Contracts; Law Papers; Bonds, Discharges and Related Papers; Bills and Protests; Hamilton of Silvertounhill Papers; Papers Relating to Arthur Park, Merchant in Greenock; Heritors of Gorbals; St. Nicholas Hospital; Miscellanea;

Note from the catalogue dated 1981 -
Title deeds to city properties are held by the Conveyancing Section of the Town Clerk's Department, with the following exceptions;
a) The surviving contents of D-TC1/1 (1696 inventory) which are now in the series A1/1-54.
b) Some other titles and related papers were found with those listed in A1/1-54 but are not referred to in D-TC1/1 (1696 inventory) and these are now in the series A1/55.
c) Artificial bundles of early documents formed at the time of production of 'Glas. Chrs.', are now in the series A1/61-65.
d) Bundles 1-6 from D-TC1/3/2 (second inventory, microfilmed M584 and volume) now in series A1/201-206. The remaining contents of the inventory are with the Conveyancing Section.
e) The titles listed here in D-TC3/1, D-TC3/2 and D-TC3/27 series.
