Scope and Content
Plans of warehouses offices and factories lodged under the Glasgow Building Regulations Act, 1900, sect. 65, (3)D requiring the submission of plans for all buildings of the warehouse class built or re-erected with a cubic capacity of more than 350,000 cu. ft. in order to take advantage of the Act. Few of these sets of drawings have an external elevation but floor plans are often detailed (machinery, usage of areas). The "architects" listed are those who have prepared the drawings for submission, but are not necessarily the architects of the original building. The series is numbered in red, a broken numeration, given in brackets here. This does not tally with D/OPW/36.
