Copy of the Statutes of the Sisterhood of St. Mary the Virgin and St. Modwenna. Dated both 1881 and 1901 and prepared by Shiell and Small Soclicitors, Dundee.
Administrative / Biographical History
The Sisterhood of SS Mary and Modwenna (1870-1988) was a Convent based in King Street, Dundee. Founded in 1870 by Bishop Forbes, the sisterhood provided parochial and nursing support to the poor and ran a home for orphans and incurables.
