Scope and Content
Lantern Slides: in cardboard box entitled: Lumière Special Lantern Plates for warm tones 3¼ x 3¼ inches. A. B.-M. notes on box: 46140 - hard effects for these negatives (in his writing). (1) 1 plain glass plate - clouted or smoked on one side. (2) Large house with field around it. Condition: image deterioration - light blue circle and a wide scratch. (3) Gentleman sitting down in scots army uniform. Condition: image deterioration: same as (2) except down one side. (4) Little girl sitting on chair in garden. Physical damage: image is scratched; image deterioration: green spots appear on dress. (5) View of loch. Condition: image deterioration: small circle in right hand corner has loss of image. All five slides suffer from micological deterioration.
