Scope and Content
Black ringbinder file containing tourist leaflets about Admiral Lord Viscount Duncan, HMS Frigate Unicorn and the Discovery (c 2000s), together with a copy of an article from Ships Monthly magazine (February 2004) about the history of the Discovery. Also contains copies of pictures and photographs of Dundee harbour, docks and riverside in the 19th century, a summary of the history of whaling in Dundee, and copies of official photographs of whaling ships built in Dundee. Also includes copies of photographs of other ships built in Dundee, newspaper cuttings from the 1980s about Dundee shipping, copies of photographs of ships under construction, and copies of photographs of Dundee city centre in the 1950s.
