Administrative / Biographical History
Miss Marion McNeill was a Staff Nurse and Sister at Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow in Professor Noah Morris’ Unit and then moved to Kirkudbright to become Matron of the local hospital. Her family came from Jura. The photograph album was given to Miss McNeill by relatives of Miss Allan, Matron of Kirkudbright Hospital from 1919-1933, when cleaning out her effects in the late sixties.
