  Pamphlet for private circulation entitled New Position of the Old Earldom of Mar, 'reflecting on the late most unexpected result of Lord Kellie's claim to the title of Mar', and examining the history of the earldom. This refers to the ruling by the House of Lords Committee on Privileges ruled in 1875, giving the title of Earl of Mar to Walter Henry Erskine, Earl of Kellie.
