Administrative / Biographical History
Miss Bosdêt was a colleague and friend of Edwin Muir, they having met while employed by the British Council in Prague. Miss Bosdêt notes in her letter gifting the papers that she served for a while in RNAS Hatston in 1942.

Professor Otakar Vocadlo, Ph.D, MA (Cantab) was Professor of English Language and Literature at Charles University, Prague, a distinguished linguist, teacher, author and friend of many Western authors including Edwin and Willa Muir, whom he knew from their stay in Prague. He died in 1974.
