1843, 4pp, Printed set of correspondence between William Nicholson, William Allan, and William Playfair relating to Nicholson’s accusations of irregularities in the Academy’s observation of its own Laws, in which allegations are made against David Octavius Hill who succeeded Nicholson as Secretary, and against the Council for failing to follow Lord Cockburn’s clear guidance anent the 1838 Royal Charter whereby the Academy failed to secure rent-free use of the Royal Institution Rooms, costing them £300 per annum.
