Administrative / Biographical History
Kinross Education Authority was established in 1919 under the terms of the Education (Scotland) Act 1918. School boards were abolished and replaced by education authorities on a county basis. School management committees were to manage individual schools or groups of schools. The functions of the Education Authority were transferred to Perth and Kinross County Council under the terms of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1929
