Scope and Content
Lord Adrian wrote to Pontecorvo officially offering him the Professorship after the Electors to the Chair of Genetics agreed he was the most suitable candidate. In Pontecorvo's response letter he writes that he will accept the position but that he still has a few questions regarding salary, accomodation and staff. Letter has been annotated with nots and calculations.

Lord Edgar Douglas Adrian, 1st Baron Adrian was a British electrophysiologist. In 1932 he won the Nobel Prize for Physiology, along with Sir Charles Sherrington, for their work on the function of neurons.
