Scope and Content
Pontecorvo explains that Harvard is the only US University he would consider moving to as it "has an atmosphere very similar to what we are used to". His copy letter is annotated "also written Penrose". Harland responds by saying if Pontecorvo went to Harvard it would be "a great loss to this country" but that if he was in Pontecorvo's position he would find Harvard "irresistible".
