Scope and Content
Waddington offers his opinions. In his letter Pontecorvo weighs up the pros and cons of going to Harvard or staying in Glasgow. He did not believe Cambridge was a main contender until he knew a bit more about the conditions there. He explains that he is quite happy in Glasgow but that after 17 years his wife deserves a change a scenery and that Harvard is the only university he would consider moving to in the United States. Enclosed is a list of his staff and accommodation requirements if he were to move to Cambridge.
